Human Nature
The trenches of War
The blood and guts of those brave men.
The struggle between the opposing sides.
The pristine and precise mechanism in every single rifle,
The mountains of bullets, the mountains of bodies.
People dying,
People fighting,
People living, and
People crying.
The fight will continue to rage on,
It will never end.
Not because of the force,
But because of the people.
The passion that drives those soldiers,
Their ideas and believes they so eagerly hold on to and will never abandon.
So much hatred
So much anger
So much pain.
All for nothing,
Yet nothing for all.
Too caught up on winning,
Too caught up on fighting and destroying
They have forgotten how it had all begun.
They have forgotten their single purpose.
Hurting those around them
Leaving scars and legacy behind
Damaging not only their enemy, but the world
Further enriching this so called human nature.
