My Hometown
My hometown is nice in a bad way, and bad in a nice way.
A place where rich people are poor, and poor people are rich.
Outside of Mexico, and beyond the US my town stands as an isolated bubble from the world around.
Where we celebrate the Mexican Independence by shopping in the US
A place where people are even more unpredictable than the weather.
Where everyone is anyone
And nobody is his own.
With order and rigor,
Manners and formalities
Do this, do that
But at the end of it, my town’s a good place
The best place one might even say.
