Women Against Women
Women against women,
Hatred runs through veins like adrenaline,
Blood pulsing, pushing away all kindness,
She tries to find my weaknesses, my imperfections,
She knows how to break me into a million tiny, irreperable pieces.
Her cruelty startles me, forcing me to reckon with my own inner demons,
I cannot do or say anything without having her pain inflicted upon me.
I am a prisoner to my own self, my own thoughts.
I am shackled, unable to be the person I am meant to be.
Women push each other down towards the brown humus dirt
Instead of lifting up to smell the freshness of the sky.
Shoving each other's faces in its crevices until no one can breathe
I am choking, gasping, clutching at my broken self
She, the one who broke me.
