Let Me Go Home
Let me go home,
Let me go home,
I am tired of this war,
Please Lord bring me home.
I am fighting for my life,
And I am losing this war,
Bring me home,
Oh Lord take me home!
The nightmares won’t leave,
They are killing me.
I want to go home,
Oh Lord let me go home!
I am home,
Though the nightmares still stay.
I will not cry,
Before those I love.
Oh Lord, take me home.
I am sorry,
But this fight I can not win.
I love you all,
But now I am home.
The Lord has brought me home.
I am crying,
Though you can not see,
As I stand beside you.
I can feel your love,
As you cry for me.
I am smiling over you,
And I am home with the Lord.
I will see you soon,
When we are all home.

In memory of Charlie Ickes, USMC, and good friend. He fought a losing battle with PTSD, and hid his fight. RIP my friend. This is on the dark side, yet the ending is what I believe he felt today when i and so many went to his viewing.
