Happiness
My life was poured out not by the tears of others, but the tears I refused to let go.
The sadness built up inside of me like thick piles of snow.
I was close to never seeing the sunlight until you came to show.
Now I know that behind dull clouds, is a colourful rainbow.
Now everywhere I look, vibrant flowers bloom tall.
I can see hidden smiles so real in us all.
I know that you’ll catch me every time I fall.
As you’re there for me as much as I am for you.
You are the guardian angel who sparkles for all.
Happiness isn’t silver nor gold.
Happiness has more beauty than money beholds.
Happiness is neither diamond nor pearl.
Happiness is what’s inside a boy or a girl.
Or man or woman or a dog or cat.
Happiness means so more than just that.
Happiness is in the smiles that you see everyday.
It’s in the people you share love with today.
Who you share love with tomorrow and yesterday.
We kid ourselves by saying money is happiness.
And we can only be rich if we own ten garages.
For our fancy motorbikes and cars.
But happiness isn’t counting the stars.
It isn’t having the stars that shine the brightest.
It’s just having the stars not having the finest.
What I’m trying to say is that maybe happiness is wealth.
But it’s the wealth of family, friends and health.
Because you may have 16 cars and 16 floors.
But without happiness what is it for.
Happiness doesn’t come from the prices we pay.
Happiness is from the smiles we see everyday.
