Everyone is unique, just like everyone else

Maybe it finds communication hard
We will not judge
Maybe we should recite a story
Maybe that will ease it out of it’s reclusive spot
Shall we give it a try?
Yes, I believe we shall.

Once upon a time
There was a courageous lady
Her name was scorned
Her place uprooted from the earth
She was brave, but she also possessed pride
And it was that pride that prompted her
To take up a caravan and seek the man responsible for her downfall
Everyone knew of this man, but no one had ever beheld them with their own eyes.
Except for a chosen few
And even they could not give a consistent version of his features.
He was loved, he was feared
He was skilled, he was powerful
They said
Where does he dwell?
Let me tell you
Beyond the empty plains
The misty swamp
Across Mount Gohl
And below the forest of skulls
Of course we can never seek him out
For the journey treacherous
But only feeds our admiration

At this point our fine lady had gotten quite enough of this chatter
She thanked them thoroughly and went on her way
Where does she go?
Well, you know already, for I have told you so
They set out upon the plains
Spirits and moral high
The days passed
And they passed
The days became weeks
And the weeks into months
And the months into years
On the third year, the sound of water rang out throughout the years silence
The lady gave ear, and a realization came upon her
She was alone
Completely alone
Blind by her actions, she had lost her entire fellowship
But she had made it past the plains
She had reached the misty muds
The cool moisture collected against her face
The thick brown mud already adhered itself to her shoe
She was already too far gone, she must continue
Without even thinking, she throws herself through the murky water
It seems everything was out to get her in this wet wasteland
She discontinued to sleep just to watch her surroundings
But only if she was more than human
Soon, her will failed
And her mind left
Her body relaxed and she fell into a deep sleep
The fire she had created soon perished without her nurturing
And the beasts of the water soon turned her way
Her dreams took her far, far away
She was making merry with her old life
But, as dreams do, it morphed
It betrayed her
And she remembered her real state
She awoke with a start to a grievous sight
A great beast of the mud laid before her, it’s fearsome magnificence defiled
By it’s entrails strewn across the ground
But not a muddy ground
It was the hard dust ground of Mount Gohl
She did not fright, she barely did stir
But only a fire set itself ablaze within her eyes
She knew who did this to her
She knew who once again shown her incapable
The winds around her whipped this way and that
But she did not care
Her hands wept upon the sharp rocks of the mountain
But she did not care
Soon she did reach the summit
The mountain breathed a sulphuric greeting
Her blood created a pond
She indulged her lungs
And she fell into the arms of the mountain
She was in charge of her destiny
She was on this quest of her own accord
She believed

She was once again upon her seat of power
Ruling in her land if her subjects of Naviety
In a flash she could even feel the softness of proper sheets
She wiped off a bit of moisture off her cheek
Water
She opened her eyes
She laid among a lush grass and flowers laden with dew
A fairy danced around her
Hello! Hello!
Its voice sang out
She blinked
Hello! Hello!
They emerged
They glittered and fluttered about
They offered her the finest grade of anything you can consume
She declined politely
She tried to shake them off
But with their giggles they persuaded her
Her exhaustion beyond all was the deciding factor
She sat with them
She dined with them
She laughed with them
Unexpectedly, they showed their teeth
She got up in a hurry
No! No!
They cried
She began to see the cracks
She turned to flee
Their tiny voices broke into a growl
The flowers blackened
The grass turned to mold
The trees bent
Lower
And lower
Through them the skulls rolled forth
They snatched her and held her down
As the skulls rattled, laughed and rolled forth, they buried her
The blackness consumed her
No dreams of merriment or grandeur
Only deafening blackness on all sides
Pulling her deeper
And deeper

An unknown amount of time passed
It could have been minutes
It could have been decades
It was impossible to tell
The feeling of cold granite pressed against her skin and chilled her flesh
She tried to turn away from the coldness
To return to the comfortable blackness
Only to be met with continued ice
Reluctantly, she allowed herself to return to the living
When her vision returned, she was greeted with a cavernous stone hall of some grand castle
The same kind of stone she lay upon resided also above her head
She arose slowly, her body lethargic and achy
No matter how many times you try to leave, I know you will return eventually
A voice erupted with no discernible origin
I know how to manipulate you
Without even thinking her legs carried her up the cold steps
The voice ringing in her ears, yet she can’t quite decide if she heard them
This is the place she had been searching for so dearly, correct?
But why was she searching?
Her steps echoed nauseatingly, bouncing off every terrible vaulted ceiling
Her head swam and her breath caught in her throat
Just before she reached the throne, her vision blurred and she fell to a stone pillar for support
She could almost see his figure upon the stone throne, but not quite
Do you like my fortress? You’re the only one I’ve let in
HIs voice was gentle, but so cold
She didn’t even flinch
She could feel his disappointment
But all she could do was cling to that cold, stone pillar
You wish to change the past? How foolish
Still, she did not stir
You created this alongside me. You caused your downfall.  You understand this now, don’t you?
His voice, so close, but feels a million miles away
She clutched a sharp dagger
Her fist shook and her knuckles turned white
You would never do that to me, this I know
His voice showed no concern as he held out a hand
She used it and plunged the dagger through his chest
In an instant, he evaporated
Soon, the walls spouted blood
Everything became crimson as the stone began to crumble and fall
She was alone among the rubble
And she drowned in the blood
She was lost to this world.

Honestly, this is just a over exagerated, fantasy laden, version of events that shaped me to be the person I am today.
