Screaming
The rain falls in the reflection of the mirror.
My vision is fading and getting dimmer.
The swirling droplets whirl like a storm,
Then they disappear as the curtains are drawn.
Drawn by parents who watch me sit silent,
Talking so softly to a mind so violent.
I sit and wait for them to depart,
And once again, I'm left in the dark.
Go ahead; check on me every half hour,
I will not have moved from my ivory tower.
I sit so quiet, right where they left me.
Every time, they wish they didn’t leave me.
But people left me when I needed them the most;
Now they try to help a no one; a ghost.
I am anonymous; my name has no meaning.
My mouth is silent but my mind is screaming.
