February
When the snow stops falling
When winter beauty disappears
When the streets turn to slush
And everything in sight appears
Mushy, gray, and gloomy
Dreary, depressing, and dark
The sun doesn't shine so brightly
The trees are bare and stark
The weather isn't the only thing
That seems a little slow
Everyone's bored of winter
And waits for spring's hello
A week free from school
Seems ages away
So there's no use in hoping
As we struggle through each day
Although the cold is fading
And animals leave their dens
Life is frozen, waiting
For the warmth to come again
