The Phantom
Some say revenge is a dish best served cold
Yet I know revenge is fueled by a hellish anger
I am scarred by that fire
Some say death come as a thief in the night
But I see that death is born with us
It's just more visible in me
I am the one who was born a face half ancient
It forced me into the darkness to become a demon, free from law, judge, and jury
The only thing that could return my humanity was music and choir
Through the years I saw darkness is kinder than light
Although I was lonely, melody and darkness were my friends and they could be trusted
Only in music could my emotions be free
I call myself the Phantom
Almost never seen, ever heard
The white mask brings the bitter taste of blood
