Stratosphere
Am I so nonexistent
Have you heard me calling
Out to you in the distance?
I am just the ghost
That brings a chill to the atmosphere
I remember lifting you up to the heavens
Watching your smile reflect light off the stars
In the stratosphere
Shapeless like the water I just flowed through your life
But I lit up the fires inside that kept you warm at night
Like stable ground I kept you rooted to what mattered most
To breathe into you new air, new life, left all those secrets exposed
They say fate is what happens to you
And that destiny can be forever changed
Well you've got to mount the horse
And just take life by the reigns
I know the weather may get a little colder
And sometimes it's tough to absorb all the pain
But just remember that I never have left you
Standing all alone in the rain
Shapeless like the water I just flowed through your life
But I lit up the fires inside that kept you warm at night
Like stable ground I kept you rooted to what mattered most
To breathe into you new air, new life, left all those secrets exposed
