Black Mist
I'm not afraid of the Black Mist
That haunts each creatures door,
That brings sorrow and sadness
And takes all that we adore
I do not like the Black Mist
For it takes what I love most
It shadows the one on its list
Until it becomes its host
The Black Mist thrives at midnight
In the shadows it hides so silent
It ambushes all in sight
With an eerie feeling of calm and quiet
The Black Mist cares for no one
Just one single destructive hole
It gathers those unwilling
And traps them in an endless soul

The miracle is not to walk on water or to fly in the air, it is to walk on the earth.
Thank you! You are actually the first person to comment on my poem! I see that you responded to my thread on writing forums too, so thanks for that as well.
I will admit that I reviewed your profile, and I have to say I am impressed. I know little about Edgar Allan Poe, I am only familiar with his poem, 'The Raven,' and I was intrigued that you were interested at such a young age.
'Black Mist' was written while I was in... a sort of depressing moment in my life. If that makes any sense since I probably still am in that moment still. I had just lost someone very close to me, a part of my family, so I was mad and frustrated and angry and sad all in one poem-writing-body.
If you enjoyed 'Black Mist' I think you will like my two other poems posted on the site. Thanks again!!
