Quiet November
The day the light faded,
I sat there, I waited,
things looked bleak,
and I far too weak,
on this quiet November day.
Weighed down with hesitation,
I sat in anticipation,
solemnly removed my crown,
as the sky came crumbling down,
on this quiet November day.
I watch this time lapse,
of my steady collapse,
try to fix the situation,
in blatant desperation,
on this quiet November day.
I was once the sun, the moon,
the midnight, the noon,
the stars and the sea,
but no longer shall I be,
on this quiet November day.
