Infidelity
The honesty you left with me,
Led me to travesty.
Those words that you cursed,
Burst into reverse.
But what was I to do,
Just let you live,
Let you move.
After what you'd done,
Your sentence was deserved,
Repentance in every single word.
Every lie you spilled,
Must die completely distilled.
I wept into a slumber,
Swept my troubles under.
Those sinful little mouthfuls,
Turned into hurtful housefuls.
Each tear and every fear,
Were clear and very near.
But what was I to do,
Just let you live,
Let you move.
After what you'd done,
Your sentence was deserved,
Repentance in every single word.
Maybe fate played your game,
But hate doesn't have a name.
You're too late with no fame,
Desperately fighting your shame.
Threats bask no glory,
But that's another story.
Spars don't solve your issues,
With all the scars and tissues.
But what was I to do,
Just let you live,
Let you move.
After what you'd done,
Your sentence was deserved,
Repentance in every single word.
Your power was empty,
Showered in my misery.
Without your lies and fake chivalry,
You’re simply infidelity.
