MY TRUTH
i put on a front
just so i can hide
the many secrets i have inside
when you see me
you see the person i pretend to be
not the person i am
locked deep in my mind
never to feel the sun
never to feel the rays
on bright warm summer days
never to feel the rain
just lay upon the skin
never to taste the perfect snowflake
right upon the tongue
never to know lifes plans
are a grand design
the person i am is locked away
in a jail cell far away
away from pain, grief and tears
she collected for many years
multiple scars show the proof
of the rough things she went through
deep wounds no doctor can heal
her skin was never made of steel
you heard the story now look in my eyes
you see the pain it never dies
