The tall cliff I was climbing, just a nigh

I reach the top of the cliff, with my head held high

I look down upon the tiny dots of people gossip away

But I didn’t care even a tad, for my body was enjoying the sway

I watched as the people snarled and sneered,

At my burgeoning zealousness, bestowed and endeared

I looked up at the bald eagle soaring in the radiant sky

Seeing the sight was quite the natural divertissement, joyfully, I let out another sigh

Besieged around the clouds, I thought

For what cost this mellifluous pride be bought.

Then again, I realised that the people were mere marionettes all prancing at one another.

“Oh dear!” for my mind was in quite the conundrum. My thoughts were in dither!

The thoughts hit me again, and I realised that “All the world’s my stage and the men and women are mere players” . These words were stunning.

But the people in this world are nothing but cunning.

For I have finally understood the unfathomable,

The cruelty of the world is ineradicable.

Here’s the world a lesson, to never dass

With the lucid lass!
