The Tale of a Noble Prince
In a land far away,
Many years ago,
Lived a very rich king,
With a large ego.
He thought he was great,
He thought he was grand.
But really he was selfish,
The worst in the land.
He had a son, Edward,
The noblest of all.
He gave all his possessions
To those whose fortune was small.
The king did not like this.
He put poison in the cup of his son.
And as Edward went to drink,
It looked as if the king had won.
What the king did not know
Was that his kind son could smell
The poison from anywhere,
Even as deep as a well.
So Edward feigned death,
His father he tricked.
So as the king left the room,
His poison Edward nicked.
Edward was noble,
Yes, it is true.
So poison his father
He did not do.
Instead of a death,
the prison gained one.
Once Edward gave the proof,
It was him who had won.
His kind, loving nature
Made him give to the poor.
And if that morning he was noble,
Now he was more.

This was sort of inspired by a combination of Narnia and The Princess Bride.
