Naa'ach'aahii
Here we come from midnight old
With all the rainbow in our hoard
The people started watching
The people stopped moving
To let the magic unfold
We come today
Ere break of day
Out of twilight, into dawn
The world was old
It’s shadows bold
Waiting to be made anew
With opals gleaming
Diamonds shining
And rubies from the depths
Blue for the seas
Green for the trees
And amethyst for starlight glow
They came at last
To break the fast
The hungers the Earth
The world was strong
To help the throng
Of Naa’ach’aahii
Who painted long into the day
After the sun had passed away
And cast shadows on the earth
After many hours long
There seemed to be a song
That sprang from the reborn sun
The Earth was new
It’s colors renewed
And healthy again
And when the sky goes dark again
With shadows in the daylight
They will come again
The Naa’ach’aahii
