The fact that black people are treated different just because of color

The fact that blacks are killed one after another

The fact that us blacks, have to look after each other

And the fact that our family are worried especially our fathers and mothers

This has been going on for the longest time

And we have to be cautious when we drive

And it’s hard for parents to tell their children that everything will be fine

And when we get pulled over there’s this chill in our spine

We are people and we are citizens,

We are black but and we are innocent,

They treat us like were insignificant,

And we are found innocent after years of imprisonment.
