Dad
The strongest man I know is not who you’d expect
He doesn’t fight off monsters, he doesn't have great Pecs.
He doesn't use a sword and shield to defend and to protect.
Instead, he sits down in a chair
And runs a hand through his hair.
He’d read to me every night
Illuminated by the bedside light
His eyes full of love overflowing
Leaving my soul a’ glowing.
He doesn't try to be nice or kind.
He just is, even if he’s in a bind.
The man I speak of, here tonight.
Is the man that brought me to the plight
Of life
