The School of My Dreams
I already attend the school of my dreams
For I could never hope for another
And though it may be a bit frayed at the seams
It is mine and always makes me beam
Although us kids we are confined
To the classrooms’ walls
We have as much fun as ever possible
In class and in the halls
It has classes filled with made up words
Like your’ll and bref (plural breef)
Our serious faces don’t last for long
And our grave discussions are quite brief
At break one cannot possibly conceive
What goes through our minds
But you will never ever want to leave
When you enjoy this fun, fun time
The students are hilarious
We laugh and joke and play
The teachers sometimes join in too
But they roll their eyes some days
Our lunch is like a fun day out
Or I guess I should say in
We talk about lacrosse games
And if we think we know who’ll win
In last period we watch the clock
We count down ten, nine, eight
When we finally get the timing right
We rush out we don’t wait
My school lifts up my spirits
Like a long lost love come home
And as long as I reside here
I’ll never be alone
