Where Are You?
WHERE ARE YOU?
i am from dust,
blown around,
scattered.
unknown origin.
i am from unwanted;
dark sky; cold floor
i am the gaps
between the door and the wall
i am the broken glass of the window;
your window
i am what is seen, but never heard.
i am what is said, but never spoken
to the entirety of meaning capacity
i am from unprepared
and unaffordable –
from light that spills beneath the door,
from heat rising towards the ceiling,
i am lost; i am found
i am found; i run
towards the morning silhouette
and the sparkle of blue
that lashes from the sea and sand
i am from lush; i am from dope;
and inconvenience and hurting
i am from the checkers on the couch
where you; you sat eyes pretending to see
arms unwilling to hold.
you run.
i run.
where are you?
