I can’t seem to let you go
All I want is for you to know
When I lost you
I lost myself too.
I come on strong
But what everyone sees
Is completely wrong.
They see a mask
That I wear
They don’t know
That I really cared
All I seem to do is lie
But I guess I really don’t
Have an alibi
I seem to fall and
I seem to struggle
I can’t stay on the ground because
It reminds me of you
And yet I can’t fly
Because my wings aren’t strong
I still need you to help me along.
It seems like nothing is wrong
But deep down I know
I will never let go
