Shadows and Stars
Shadows coalesce,
Dancing with the pale white glow,
Glimmering across the surface,
of the midnight water,
The moon,
A pale sliver of gold and silver,
Battles the darkness,
The inky black tresses,
Of sky's dark hair.
In the deep inky onyx,
Diamonds are embedded,
in the velvety darkness,
Stars shimmering silver white moonbeams,
Crushed into their tiny compact powder,
Dusting the night in their celestial glow.
And the soft whisper of the wind,
As she weaves through the trees,
Sifting through the canopy,
The touch of her fingers brushing the leaves,
And stirring the leaves.
The pale ghostly gems,
That slice of silver,
The deep onyx of the sky
And the glimmering sapphire of the clear lake.
Night.
