Fierce Monsters
A child sat on his bed
His eyes trained on
The slightly open closet door
He had told his mom
He had told his dad as well
That there was a monster in his closet.
A monster so fierce that if you left the house
it would drink all of your milk and eat all of the fish.
A monster so terrifying
that one swipe of his sharp claws would cut a bed clean in half.
A monster so horrible
It’s voice sounded like a lion’s roar.
a roar of anger and annoyance.
Now maybe,
maybe the mini man was over exaggerating.
No, we all know the monster in his closet
isn’t as horrifying, terrifying and petrifying as you may think.
The monster was indeed just his cat
