On Top
On top of the world
Or so it felt
I was shining
I went sooo fast
The breeze going through my hair
The air smelling so sweet
Like honey
Then I felt like there was a stranger following me
I turned but only to see headlights
The wheels they shifted
I hit it I hit hard
All I could see was silver yellow
And the ground before I hit it
The pavement was hot from being in the sun
As I lay there my head spinning
I wondered how this could happen
For that moment everything seemed still
Like the earth stopped moving and so did everything else
I was scared no I was terrified
All I could feel was my body burning
I could smell blood but I couldn't move to see where it was coming from
Then all of a sudden the earth started moving again
And then I heard the sound of cars coming for me
Coming straight at me
I tried to move but my body wouldn't let me
I started panicking scared that I was going to die
But what could I do
Then off in the distance I heard a screech
A screech that was sooo loud it hurt my head
Louder then anything I've heard
I saw lights and I heard murmuring
I got hope
I cocked my head to the side to see
The front of a car
An inch from my head
But the car had stopped
And the mysterious lady came out of her car
Thinking she had hit me
But she hadn't
I heard another screech this time it was louder
Then a little bang from the other end of the car
I knew she heard it to because she walked around to the other side
There was little damage
And the lady didn't care
She helped me get into the car
I was stiff
She drove me back up that hill and to my house
She helped me inside and told my grandparents everything
To this day I still thank that mysterious lady for saving me
