The sound and light
Thunder can be scary and lightning can make your eyes be teary. But when the Lightning strikes and the thunder rolls, don't climb under your bed like moles. Cause know that way up high in the sky, God is not wanting you to cry. When the thunder rolls, big or small, know that God is having a ball! He is up there bowling with his friends the Angels. The Angels called on God when their tug-a-war rope was in tangles. The ball hits the ground with a mighty Boom, sending the sound to your room.
Now, when the lightning flashes, don't close your eyelashes. For as you know God is bowling, and the balls are rolling. When the ball hits the pins all the Angels shout "Hooray", that's what sends the Lightning your way. Whenever God makes a strike, Mike the Angel rides a bike.
So next time you have a fright, know that God has made a strike. When the thunder rolls and Lightning strikes, try not to say "Yikes!"

I have always been scared of storms so I wanted to give kids a story so that they wouldn't be scared of something that happens a lot.
