Melting like Honey
I want to be close;
I want to melt like honey on your lap
And be surrounded by you.
I want to hold you, and to be held,
And lose track of time
As days keep getting longer
And the distance between us keeps getting shorter.
I want to know you
And have you know me,
To know how much I think of you.
And the things you say about yourself just aren't true.
I want us to be right for each other
But in the back of my mind,
I know you have no idea
That you are so wanted,
So needed,
So longed for in every way.
But I'm so scared that if you knew,
You wouldn't care.
