Break of Day
The dark blue sky,
Has the deep glimmer
Of sunlight
Creeping over those jagged edges.
The silence screams from the blackness,
A reminder
Of the emptiness
Of the night.
That silky, onyx black,
Consumes,
As if there's nothing,
Inside of it's dark currents.
Those hopeful rays,
Of yellow light,
Pierces through the air,
A single beam,
Of optimism.
Another rises over,
And defeats the mountain,
Spreading light in it's path,
A flood of golden yellow.
Sunrise,
Brings another day,
As it promises another night.
The thin line,
Between black and light,
Sight and blindness,
A smile and tear,
Starts.
With a single beam of light.
