You're My Inspiration
You say I'm good, so maybe I am.
But did you know? You're my inspiration
Ever since I read your poems, what you've written,
That's how I've formatted mine.
And I cling to you, to this newfound abundance
Of waterfall words and ruach of sounds
What would happen if I let it all go?
Slip through my fingers, a string of pearls
Falling back to native ocean?
Or pass through this net of my mind
Becoming finer than a wisp of smoke?
Or like a lightswitch, turning off the
Power to life support of pen and paper,
Dependant on what no longer exists?
Don't worry, I'll never let you go.
All the same,You give yourself less
credit than what you deserve.
Have faith in yourself, confidence in your ability.
It has helped me this far, and I will undoubtedly
Return the favor any day. All you need to do is
Just ask.
