Where Im From
Where I’m From
I am from the bucket,
From walking on the streets everyday,
To being scared out of my mind,
And hanging out with my friends at the school yard,
Until the streetlights came on.
I am from penny candy,
And when The Beatles played on my record player,
To when my parents divorced,
Or when I moved here.
I am from Huckleberry Finn,
To playing baseball outside.
From tinker toys and race cars,
And to watching “Lost in Space”
Is to what I call home.
