No Longer Shine

Just like that what I called the love of my life is gone
Just like that
So simple
So fast
How could it be?
I thought we could last
I know I will not see him again
I know
But why can't I tell my heart
That it needs to let go?
Feels like there's a weight
Pressing down on my chest
How can I replace you?
You were the best
But yet you kept secrets
Lied right to my face
How could you?
I loved you
Such a lonely, broken place
The heart that I wanted
Is no longer mine
You took away the light in my eyes
The stars no longer shine.

I wrote this really soon after my first heartbreak. It shows how it felt to believe in a love so much and then not be able to see the person no more. How it feels to be hurt by the ones you thought loved you and the ones you loved.
