I remember...
I remember the commotion
I remember going through the motions.
I remember all the smells,
And all the people trying
To make sells.
Those people whom
Were tryin to make a living in life.
I remember all the men
Tryin to getta wife.
I remember looking up and seeing, lights.
I remember climbing the statue and looking
Into the night. And remembering the
Starless sky.
And the feeling of never wanting to die.
I remember buying those cheap sunglasses
In Battery Park.
I remember never seeing the dark.
I remember eating a hot dog.
I remember the endless fog,
On the Brooklyn Bridge
And the tiny fridge
In the Super 8 Motel.
I remember, the ground
Zero hell.
You may wonder about my verse:
I'm writing about the center of the universe.
