Not Quite Love
I've found a love for the winter,
But it's a love I can't tie down.
You have her at your dispense;
You don't need me around.
No one makes me write like you,
The words spill from my chest.
Does anyone else study your every word
And grow feelings they can't digest?
Your time is everything to me;
Please waste it with me.
I'd give my everything to you
If your anything, I could be.
I follow you through the streets,
But the night won't make me sad.
I could never hate, nor can I ignore
The deepest – not quite – love, I've ever had.
