Drifting into the morning light
The clouds float by above your bed
Thinking that if you lay just right
The dreams might stay inside your head

Rolling over fields of pillows
Warmth wraps you in a vice embrace
For from the chimney smoke billows
Still in your head dreams dance with grace

A stretch unfolds across the sheets
The morning light spills onto walls
The sheep once counted retreat in fleets
A new day shining to you calls
