Silver Lining
Looking back at all that was
And all that is no more,
The clouded sky reveals to me,
What I had lost before.
Images of the past fly back,
Seeping through my mind.
Regrets of not grasping those clouds,
To save myself from now.
The window of the past has closed,
Never to be returned.
Crying, hoping, and wishing,
Will do no further good.
There is no more longing to be what was,
Only to become what will.
Windows do not break or darken,
For time will start once more.
