Just Listen
You probably don't really care about that I have to say,
But I am going you tell you anyway.
You might actually learn a thing or two,
If you understand what I go through.
I struggle with social anxiety,
Basically it makes me fear those of our society.
Imagine if your daily thought,
Was centered around if you are good enough or not.
Avoiding people throughout your day,
Hoping that they will stay away.
Now I think you'll understand,
Why I am the way I am.
I prefer to work alone,
Just me and myself in my own little zone.
In my room is where I prefer to stay,
Because it's nice and gray.
I love you write poems, stories and anything that comes to mind,
And read books of any kind.
My family is very loving and fun,
They try to brighten up my day as does the sun.
As supportive as they can be,
Doing all they can do to help me.
They've always told me to never let anyone put me down,
And that I will always wear the crown.
Over the past few years,
I've explored many careers.
I've found working with children is what I do best,
I bet you would have never guessed!
I have something that might suprise you,
I want a career working with people too
Working with children that have the same problem I do,
Would make my wish come true.
To be able to help someone else who is in need,
Is how I think I could succeed.
