justify my actions with yours
as heavy transgressions occur
and laugh with me to reassure
that right and wrong is just a blur
justify my actions and say
that it'll be all right
life is full and filled with gray
nothing is ever all black or white
retribution is theirs to take
just be the friend who'll abstain
from striking and shaking me awake
to leaving me insane
justify my actions with yours
by forgiving yourself (don't dwell)
'cause if I'm like how you assure
than you are kind and good as well
