Dream's Dawn

The opaque murky fog

Rises in shallow mist
Obscuring all but light
In the oppressing forest midst

Sunrises and sets
Once more eyes see
The new day and light
Of the next sunrise, fog free

As the tall road emerges
The rising sun spreads
A faint violet haze
Over azure, Dawn treads

And visions that beckon
Over hills that lead
Into Dawn's embrace
Where the ocean proceeds

And as your heart swells
At the beauty perceived
Of the crashing blue waves
Giving bliss achieved

And as the world fades
Before your starving gaze
Eyes flutter open
To the real Sun's rays

But delight still persists
With the beauty that's gone
As you realize that dreams
Are nothing, to real dawn
