Torchword 3
He told me he would live forever,
That he would watch me die,
Through the years he never aged,
Living his own lie,
A man I never knew,
Has stolen my first kiss,
Even though it wasn't perfect
it's his eyes I will miss,
They say he's just a soldier,
Looking for a fight,
But I see more in him,
A spark of hopeful light,
To the man with a loving laugh,
But ghosts haunting his eyes,
To the one who always smiles,
To the one who never dies.
