I am from the tree house and trampoline
where I spent 11 years of my life
in the backyard of the red bricked house

I am from summer camps
way up north
where I learned about nature and friendship

I am from all the stories told and thanksgivings and Christmas
From the shared laughter from  hearing them
that is one of my favorite sounds

I am from the cold winters laying by the fire
with my dog
From the blazing summers chasing the ice cream truck
with my best friend

I am from the framed pictures
scattered around the house
The memories and emotion they hold
