The Willow Tree
I sit underneath a willow tree
Flashbacks of water seeping through the soil, to find a seed
Inside, a new world, where no one can hear me
Her children impulsively, chasing Bumblebees
Fifteen years later, ever imagining the surplus their mother would bleed
I sit underneath a willow tree
The prognosis only stating the condition of her knee
The willow, was the one who would listen, All I Need
Inside, a new world, where no one can hear me
Banging on the walls, if they ever open, hastily I would flee
Every morning, I walk to her, then leave every night, after giving heed.
I sit underneath a willow tree
There are no re-starts. I know she will be who she will be
Although I never ask, I believe there is no greed
Inside, a new world, where no one can hear me
Memories making its’ way to the surface, cruelly washed away by the sea
I won’t be helpless and watch you be trapped by weed
I sit underneath a willow tree
Inside, a new world, where no one can hear me
