Crush
When I hear your name,
Nothing feels the same.
My heart gets a rapid beat,
And my cheeks, a sudden heat.
My stomach flutters.
My mind clutters.
You're all I think about
Day in and day out.
When you're here,
My thoughts aren't clear.
You always make me smile.
Real ones that last a while.
I can't help but smile around you
Even when the world is dark and blue.
Thinking about you
Is all I like to do.
When you say my name
It doesn't sound lame.
With you I feel proud
And want to scream it loud.
I can be myself around you
Which is a scary thing to do.
Sometimes I like you so much it scares me
Like you stole my heart and locked it up with a key.
My feelings for you are here to stay
Now that my body feels this way.
My stomach is in a constanst knot
Like it's a part of a suspensful plot.
You have messed with my brain
Now it will never be the same.
I am not complaining and saying it is bad.
I just don't want you to be the reason I return to sad.
