Things We Shouldn't Think About
We don’t know why you did it
We can never ask those who may know why
Your decision was rash
That moment when you decided to die
In a flash you life was over
But the impact it left on those around you was not
Even now, more than a year later,
No one knows why you did what you did
We shouldn’t think of these things
It is wrong to judge those who are not around to defend themselves
Yet, you cannot blame us for our curiosity
Not when so much turmoil was caused by your choice
Even I, who never met you,
Feels its presence when I see his face
No, not his face,
His face shows no reminder of that day
It is the faces around him,
When they contemplate things that we should not think about
