Fire logs and snowflake blooms
sweet cocoa and bold new moons.

A play of ice, a feat of snow.
I’ll tell you this, for you’d never know.

The elves, they prance along the woods,
hiding warmly under hoods.

They battle and run,
for Winter’s begun!

And the cold brings up their spirits.

Thank you for analyxing thid so deeply, it really does bring to light how thoughtful people are :) I actually based this off of a picture of legolas lol So, yeah, I guess LOTR was intended. Haha XD

I love the mood of this poem! It's very upbeat, just like the elves prancing along the woods! ;) I like how you focused on both the cold of winter, and the warmth of winter (the cocoa, bundling up, etc.) It's got me all hyped up for winter!! :D Although...I live in Southern California so I don't really get a winter...but that's irrelevant lol :P I also love how this poem made me think of the elves from the Lord of the Rings...but that could just be me...either way, a nice touch! ;) I do so love reading your poems!!! Thank you for posting them!!! :D
