Arms Encircled, Weave A Nest MAG
Arms encircled, weave a nest
a stoop, a stand, two trees abreast
He lies upon his pedestal
His search for danger a vigil still
Keen eyes search out, never blinking
for any malice that may be slinking
out ’tween the bones of silent woods
the barren branches, the dying buds
reminiscent of thickened mud
tufts of auburn upon his stump
the fox observes the nature’s slump
the biting cold shall break this mold
of veridian leaves and grass, behold
Leafless, lifeless skeletons appear
Fall has ended, great sleep is near
the fox’s head scans the lines
of fallen snow, sparkles and shines

I drew from poets such as Robert Frost, and based the poem on an image of a fox I saw, in which the fox stood between two warped trees in a snowy woods.
