Spring
It’s been winter for awhile
Every day the same
Life’s ever groaning trial
Every day a drain
Snow for miles and miles
So ready for a change
Spring seems so far away
Blizzards are all I see
Trying to make it through today
Cold and confusion consuming me
My whole world turns to gray
I long to be independent and free
I find the strength to carry on
I grasp for warmth, for you
The curtains of my past are drawn
The frost is thawing through
The night is suddenly dawn
The light of something new
