Friendship
Friendship
We may yell and we may fight,
But no matter what our friendship is tight.
As kids we played together on the front lawn,
And as we got older you always had a shoulder to lean on.
When girls are mean and call you bad names
You know she will be there to comfort your pains.
Never would she pressure you into drugs or alcohol,
And when you’re down, you can count on her call.
You go to college together and share the same dorm
And together into your sororities you are sworn.
From part-time jobs to college degrees;
To engagement parties and internees.
When we get married and stop dating
We’ll be teaching our kids skating
They will grow up together and play in my front lawn,
And like us will always have each other to lean on.
