The Rescue
The silver strands of hair dripped down her back,
The rescuers breathe gone, his face flushed.
She lies there still on the pavement
Her father standing over her begging for life
Cpr was administered, yet still she laid there
The ambulance was called yet still she lay there
The black velvet sky was the color of death
Yet still she lay there
But wait one breathe one breathe form her tiny chest?
Yes two breathes now
Her slender body gasping for air
Her rescuer gleaming with satisfaction
She was alive.
