the butterfly
The Butterfly
I sit around in the grass staring at the sky,
then something flies before me and catches my bright blue eye.
I look up in awe at it’s majestic wings,
Never before have I seen such a beautiful thing.
It flies all around with no worries or fears,
How I wish I could learn to live like that hear.
It flies down and lands on the petal of a flower,
It’s radiance fills me with a remarkable power.
I sit there and stare at the wonderful queen of the sky,
Oh how I wish I could be a butterfly.
