The Conciousness
The clock is still
“Tic,” “Toc,” “Tic,” “Toc,” “Tic”
The teacher and students are
Working with their diligent
And intelligent minds… But
One person… one individual
Who doesn’t want to use his mind; his mind is
On running the streets,
Stealing, selling drugs, and
Making money with no
Intelligent mind…But becoming more uneducated
Education is not what he needs… education doesn’t
Want him, but he needs
It… to be intelligent and
To use vocabulary
The clock is still moving slowly:
“Toc,” “Tic,” “Toc,” “Tic,” “Toc,” “Tic.”
He walks the streets mindless…walks around
With just street knowledge;
But in time he’ll wake up to
To the reality of what education
Really is…
Not just knowledge.
